So, Friday night i went out to my garage to get in my car to come to Church for something and when i opened my door the smell of gas nearly knocked me over. There was gas pouring out from my car. Unfortunately, the Toyota dealership isn't open on Friday nights or Saturdays or Sundays and couldn't see my car until monday morning, and i was afraid to start it...so i put some sand down over the gas and put a can under the leak to catch everything as it dripped. I bummed rides to church over the weekend. Church was ok, but nothing spectacular. Sunday was long and trying.
This morning, i called AAA to have them tow me out to the dealership, but because it was a gas leak, they would not tow the car until the Fire Department had ok'd it. SO i had to call the fire department. I did not call 911, but just the regular number. I was informed that i *had* to call 911 because there was gas present, so i did and the firemen came lights and sirens to my garage. They moved my car out of the garage (pushed it out) and cleaned up the gas spill. In the meantime, i called my Apt. Manager so he could be there incase his property blew up. So, there were 3 firemen, the Apt. Manager and his mantainance guy all there. The car didn't blow up, and they sprinkled their magic dust on the gas to soak up the remainder of it.
Then AAA showed up and towed my car to the dealership (thanks again mom for AAA). THe dealership checked out my car and found my fuel line had a huge gash in it. They have to order a new fuel line. It will be tomorrow at the earliest that it will arrive and they will be able to fix it. Luckily it's only gonna cost about $225, so that's not too bad.
Can anyone top Firetrucks on a monday morning?

Glad to hear it worked out ok - can't believe you had to call the Fire department!
